On 12 June 2017 a diplomatic reception on the occasion of the National Day of Russia was hosted by the Consulate General of Russia in Edinburgh. The event was attended by the representatives of the Scottish Parliament and Government, consular corps, local authorities, business, academia and Russian community, as well as the Veterans of the Great Patriotic War and the Arctic Convoys.
The guests were addressed by the Consul General of Russia in Edinburgh Andrey A.Pritsepov as well as by the Deputy Presiding Officer of the Scottish Parliament Christine Grahame, Global Key Accounts Director of Terex Trucks J.Rotherford, vice-chair of the Scotland-Russia Forum Commander D.Gunn and the Arctic Convoys Veterans William Shand and Iain Davies.
The event featured Russian songs performed by the Scottish quartet Quadrophonics. The audience also enjoyed the performance of accordionist R.Corbet and baritone A.Gusev.
