Merchant Navy Memorial - Cardiff Bay - Wales: This sculpture is a memorial for all those seafarers, who have no grave but the sea. It has two distinct aspects, a timeless fallen face, and a beached shipwreck hull. Located in front of the Welsh Parliament, Senate building.

lost-at-sea-memorials.com: Some lost at sea memorials are touched by genius. The images they convey are timeless and universal – like all great art. The designer and sculptor of this unforgettable memorial in Wales is Brian Fell. LINK“IN MEMORY OF THE MERCHANT SEAFARERS FROM THE PORTS OF BARRY PENARTH CARDIFF WHO DIED IN TIMES OF WAR”

Merchant Navy memorial, Cardiff Via MNA Wales: We have just had a QR-code plaque fitted to our memorial down Cardiff Bay (it is actually fitted to the nearby bollard) which when you click on to it takes you to a website which lists all the merchant seafarers from Barry, Cardiff, and Penarth (these are the areas covered by the memorial) that were lost during WW1 and WW2. This was arranged through History Points. As you know there are no names on our memorial so this is a wonderful way of getting them identified. You can check out the finished product here: historypoints.org/index.php?page=merchant-navy-memorial-cardiff
