LATEST:
I am writing to assure you that your relative will be presented the Ushakov medal this summer.
Twenty awards have been presented at HMS Belfast on 9 May, but the rest of the medals are yet to be delivered from Moscow.
We hope to start presenting them this July, however, the schedule of ceremonies is yet to be compiled. We shall keep you informed.
Best regards,

I am writing to inform you that your relative has been awarded the Ushakov Medal, which will be presented to him this summer.
On 10 March 2014, President Vladimir Putin signed a decree awarding the Ushakov Medal to the British veterans of the Arctic Convoys, now the Russian Foreign Ministry is in the process of arranging the delivery of medals from Moscow to London via diplomatic channels.
We expect them to be brought here by the end of June, and, hopefully, in July we will be able to start presenting the medals. We shall keep you informed.
With best regards,
Russian Embassy.
