Monday, 23 April, marks 100 years since the Zeebrugge Raid. Over 200 sailors and marines were killed with them being commemorated by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission at sites in the UK and in Belgium, including Zeebrugge Churchyard. To mark the centenary of the Zeebrugge Raid, HRH The Princess Royal and Sir Tim Laurence, Commonwealth War Graves Commission Vice Chairman, visited the CWGC’s plot at Zeebrugge Churchyard on Saturday in order to pay their respects to the fallen.
