PADDLE STEAMER WAVERLEY RETURNS TO PENARTH PIER
The vintage paddle steamer Waverley returned to Penarth this morning making her first call at Penarth Pier since 2016.
The ship – reputed to be the world’s last sea-going paddle steamer – had some technical problems in Scotland last week – but they were resolved allowing her to carry out a scheduled short season of cruises in the Bristol Channel.
There was a huge queue of people waiting to board Waverley at Penarth Pier this morning – despite an overcast sky.
