Personnel from HM Naval Base Clyde, led by Northern Diving Group divers, today paid tribute to 835 men and boys lost 81 years ago in the Royal Oak tragedy. In normal times, the divers would have returned to the wreck of the battleship in Scapa Flow to inspect it - and replace the White Ensign fixed to the upturned hull by their predecessors 12 months ago. Determined the sacrifice should not go unmarked, they instead held a service of remembrance in the chapel at Faslane. Read more at: LINK
