For years you read comments by MN members “oh the forgotten fourth service”.
How many MN members don’t join their local association ? There is an estimated 250,000 seafarers in the UK but the MN Association has very few paid up members.
How many MN turn out to parades all around the country / world on Sept 3 or Nov 11th wearing the badge of the MN.
We do ourselves an injustice by not celebrating or commemorating our own.
To change the thinking of others we first need to change our own....
Let’s get our own service ship shape, so that we can’t be forgotten.
