Visiting Information:Visitor Information Panels have recently been installed at the Tower Hill Memorial to provide information about the war casualties commemorated here. Panels are being erected to help raise awareness of First and Second World War casualties in the UK LINKMerchant Navy Day Commemoration Service, LondonSunday, 08 September, 2013sailors-society-featured-016Celebrated annually around the world, Merchant Navy Day (3rd September) remembers the Merchant Seafarers who died in WWI, WWII and in subsequent conflicts up to the current day. A commemoration service will take place in Trinity Gardens, Tower Hill, London on Sunday, 8th September 2013. The parade starts at 12:30 hrs and a service will follow and commence at 13:00 hrs. Red Ensigns flags with written commemorative messages are planted in the ground at Trinity Gardens, creating a ‘sea of remembrance.’ LINK2013 Merchant Navy Day Commemorative Service London Tower Hill The annual Merchant Navy Day Commemorative Service and MNA Reunion at Trinity Gardens, Tower Hill, London is to be held on Sunday 8 September 2013. This year the 70th Anniversary of The Battle of the Atlantic will be especially remembered. It is anticipated that Trinity Gardens will be opened to the public at about 11:30 hrs with the parade starting at 12:30 hrs. Parade starts from Muscovy Street in Trinity Square and NOT from Mark Lane, followed by the service. LINK
