Memorable gifts presented to Scottish Veterans of Arctic Convoys
On 28th September 2017, the Russian Consul General in Edinburgh Mr Andrey A.Pritsepov visited two WWII Veteranы who took part in the Arctic Convoys, Mr Ernest Robertson and Mr William Robertson Mckay. They both received a set of memorable gifts created on the occasion of the 75th Anniversary of the first Arctic Convoy calling Archangelsk.
The most precious present for the Veterans awarded with the Ushakov Medal was a memorable illustrated book published in Russia in English language with support of the Consulate General of Russia in Edinburgh about Arctic Convoys “Cold Seas and Warm Friendships» which contains a story about their own heroic deeds.
