First World War Centenary: 2014 marks 100 years since the start of the First World War The Vale of Glamorgan Council will be helping the Vale mark this important anniversary.

Barry at War / 'Glamorgan Centenary Centre': This week Barry at War have requested the loan of the unused Barry Tourist Information Centre building at Barry Island for the duration of the Great War Centenary, so that it can be converted into the 'Glamorgan Centenary Centre'. The facility will be able to support and signpost to all the Great War events and projects across South.Wales and become a tourist & education centre in it`s own right. FB LINK

Lights going out' Great War Commemorative Service:To mark the outbreak of the Great War, the Barry at War group will be working with the Holton Road Church team to establish a commemorative service to mark the 100th anniversary of same service at Westminster.
