A new Branch of the Merchant Navy Association has been set up in the Mansfield and Ashfied areas of Nottingham, and they would welcome any merchant seaman,or those from the fishing fleets past or present who may wish to join this branch. They are accepting members who live within a 25 mile radius of Mansfield and Ashfield. They meet on the first Saturday in each month at the Nell Gwyn Public House, 117 Sutton Road, Mansfield, NG18 5EX, a really friendly and welcoming venue. They are hoping to provide all the benefits of advice and assistance to members as written in the Constitution of the Merchant Navy Association and to provide comradeship and social events for members living in the Mansfield and Ashfield catchment areas.
