Hello fellow World War 1 Enthusiasts! This is just a quick note from the admin. First of all, I’m glad to see all the interest out there in the group I created several years ago! The numbers have been steadily rising lately, and it humbles me to see the appreciation for history that I have is shared by others. It is our responsibility to preserve history, debate it, learn from it, share it, and protect it. I’d like to address a few issues that have been brought to my attention lately. First, I created this group approximately 7 years ago, and it hasn’t been until recently that it has shown much activity which is one of the reasons for my neglect to monitor it. I am as well, a full time active member of the military, and it keeps me rather busy. I also no longer have home internet and am limited as to what I can due through my mobile smarthphone. The only thing I am capable of doing through my phone is adding people who request to join. I don’t give it much thought, as I figure everyone who asks to join has an interest in the topic of the group, so I accept all requests. The spam/spammers that you claim to see, is not visible to me. The few that I do see, I remove. I suspect that once I’ve added these spammers, they block me so that I’m not able to see their posts. I will be adding a new admin who also has the groups best interests at hand to help me clean things up and perhaps suggest new ideas, and take the group in new directions based on everyone’s interests! I ask all to please be patient, keep your political views separate, and no trash talking. Thanks again for joining!
