Paddle steamer appeal
With your help Barry should soon have historical maritime artifacts for the town.
The paddle steamer Barry was built in 1907 for, and named after the town, a heroine of both World Wars – from Barry to the Dardenelles, the Bristol Channel to Dunkirk.
I now ask all local groups, associations, business, historians and individuals, to convert pledges to donations ASAP. We hope to ensure that artifacts from the paddle steamer are returned home as soon as possible.
Donations are requested and welcomed, these will be collected and recorded by the local MN branch. As soon as total pledges / donations are received, payment, delivery and initial town display will move forward. It is hoped to have the artifacts in Barry within two weeks, hence asking for donations to be received quickly.
Thanking everyone in advance, Regards Keith.
Donations need to be made payable to: MNA (Wales) Barry branch, possibly with PSB on the back of the cheque.
