Ushakov Medals presented to 15 British veterans of the Arctic Convoys in Doncaster
On the 19th February at a ceremony in Doncaster the representatives of the Russian Embassy presented Ushakov Medals to 15 British veterans, who were awarded these honours for their personal courage and bravery displayed during their service in the Arctic Convoys in WWII.
Participants of the ceremony were warmly welcomed by Lord Liethenant of Doncaster and by Civil Mayor, Councilor Mr Paul Wray. Multiple guests, including veterans’ families, representatives of the local authorities and press took part in the ceremony.
