Cenotaph may be refurbished
Coun Emma Pritchard, the Labour leader of BTC, has announced that the council has approached the Memorial Hall Theatre Charitable Trust with a view to refurbishing the Cenotaph.
Coun Pritchard said “This important focal point for the people of Barry had sustained weather damage over the years and it is now time to refurbish it to honour the people it stands to represent!.
I fully support this, I also ask the Vale of Glamorgan council to consider at least cleaning our MN Monument. PS: A recently discovered photo of the Merchant Navy Memorial shows it was illuminated, at least illuminate the Monument once a year for Merchant Navy week. Merchant Navy Day: September 3rd EVERY YEAR.
