The Veteran of Arctic Convoys Mr Harry Oliver Potts from Morpeth received the Admiral Ushakov Medal during a solemn ceremony held at the Russian Consulate General on 13th March. Also, memorable gifts created on the occasion of the 75th Anniversary of the first Arctic Convoy calling Archangelsk as well as a personalized officer wrist watch “VOSTOK" were presented to Mr Potts. During the WWII Mr Potts served on cruiser HMS London, that took part in the Arctic Convoys in 1942-1943. LINK |
