A SEAMAN`S I - POD
We used a windy hammer and oft a marline spike, A thimble in the Bos`sun`s vice closed a splice up tight, We often dipped a sounding rod and cleaned a mucky strum, Perhaps per chance at noon, a well earned shot of rum.
On the bridge a sextant for shooting of the stars, The sound of engines rhythm through the fiddly bars, It may sound complicated but we knew just what we did, From streaming of a log to banging in a fid.
Now I have an I - Pod, wondering what’s in store, My memory and eyesight complicate it more, It’s connected to a router by a wi-fi thing somehow, So I press this little button - I’m up and running now.
It again sounds complicated till once you learn the ropes! Successful in a geeky way raising of your hopes, It’s definitely handy for doing many things, Just Google in a question - see what magic brings.
I had to put a password in - as a rule of thumb, Thought I’d name it PENIS as a bit of fun, I-Pad didn’t like it though - complaining it’s too short, So had to find a longer one and my idea abort.
I don’t know what four G is or other things just yet, But I can get quite quickly the bookies for a bet, So you see old Shellbacks - it’s maybe worth a go, Adding to your knowledge of ships so long ago.
