A new objective is to return an RNLI flag to a best worthy organisation and somewhere where it may be put to best use. Penarth RNLI are the chosen group and the Merchant Navy Association (Wales) Barry branch will be in contact ASAP. Keith.
My late father had a number of flags in his collection and I have sought suitable homes.
I have sent both red and white ensigns to a museum in Canada, several red ensigns locally donated to a Sea Scout group, I have dispatched a red ensign to Paris and this year should sea the Merchant Navy represented at the 11/11 Remembrance Service at Notre Dame for the first time.
I believe the RNLI flag was from Kinsale or Courtmacsherry in the Irish Republic or from Barry Wales.
Ben Line House / Company flag.
I do have a one in perfect condition and I seek a suitable home for it, any suggestions. Is there a Ben line museum etc.
