RMS Leinster was serving as the Dún Laoghaire to Holyhead mail boat, when she was torpedoed and sunk on 10th October 1918, just outside Dublin Bay. Over 500 people perished in the sinking, the greatest single loss of life in the Irish Sea. LINK
