Merchant Navy Red Ensign in Notre Dame 2018.
The first time the Duster has ever appeared at the Notre Dame event.
11/11 Paris 2017.
This first is due to continue and plans are that this years ceremony will continue and become a tradition at Notre Dame.
Although most MNA branches are committed to home events.. I would be interested to know of any MN individuals that may be visiting at the time or even MN Ex Pats living in France etc can offer support at the event this year.
I can assist with liaison and contact details for a lovely lady in Parris that via her own MN family connections and as part of the RBL Paris team, both supports and promotes the MN.
Just a thought for now but, rather than attending such events individually, Merchant Seamen that could become lost in the crowds, could arrange a meet up and not just be spectators or simply be lost in France / Paris events.
Then, there is a huge ceremony being planned for D Day next year in Normandy...Please, reply if you anticipate attending,
It would be great if MN individuals/ groups / veterans etc could show a united Merchant Navy presence and further recognition in a united get together / gathering.
