The Battle’s Over
Many of you will be aware that the Merchant Navy Association have been working with Bruno Peek, the Queen's Pagent Master for 18 months and are now at the stage when they would like your support with promoting this event. You will see from the below that they have split the day into three sections to allow those who may be attending the cenotaph plenty of time to move over to Trinity Square Gardens This is one of the few times we are being guaranteed TV coverage for the reading of the names and would ask that those wishing to make the trip or who are in London already, then please contact Tim Brant, who is co-ordinating the readings. If MNA members just want to attend, then that will be brilliant and they would hope that many as possible wear their blazers with pride as this will look great on the TV and it is a very special commemoration.
This is a unique dedication for merchant seafarers and fishermen during the nation’s tribute for the recognition of the end of the First World War…Sunday 11th November 2018
The Merchant Navy Association, working with Bruno Peek, has organised for the reading of every name commemorated on the newly refurbished Lutyen’s First World War Merchant Navy Memorial at Tower Hill. See also brunopeek/Battles-Over-Guide.pdf - link below. If you would like to take part in the actual reading please select your preferred time of attendance and contact Tim Brant.
