Commonwealth War Graves Commission
These stunning scanned negatives held in the Commonwealth War Graves Commission archive show the unveiling of the Tower Hill Memorial, by Queen Mary, in London on 12 December 1928. The memorial commemorates almost 12,000 Mercantile Marine casualties who died during the First World War and have no grave but the sea. Find out more about the archive, here: LINK
