Maritime London's response to the Government Brexit White Paper The priority for maritime professional services is the ability to continue to serve the needs of our clients and customers within the European Union. In parallel with The City UK and Maritime UK, it has long been our contention that 'mutual recognition' is the most appropriate mechanism to achieve this objective. It is therefore disappointing that the most recent Brexit White Paper has not included reference to this approach.
Maritime London enjoys a positive relationship with Government and is committed to working in collaboration with relevant Ministries, associations and other bodies to ensure the interests of the UK's maritime professional services are given due recognition in the continuing negotiations. Maritime London will continue to work with its Members and with Government to create a post Brexit business environment that will secure and enhance the UK's position as the world leader in maritime professional services.
