Owners and custodians of historic and landmark buildings with flagpoles are also invited to get involved, including English Heritage, Historic Houses Association, Historic Scotland, National Trust, Trinity House and Welsh Government Cadw.
Many flag-hoisting ceremonies are attended by local Merchant Navy Association (MNA) and Royal British Legion members, who welcome being part of our nationally co-ordinated campaign. In 2018 we hope that the Red Ensign will be flown ashore at 800 locations around the UK.
Merchant Navy Day Commemorative Service and Reunion
Tower Hill / Trinity Square Gardens, London.

The parade will start at 12.30pm in Muscovy Street and proceed through Trinity Square Gardens to the Merchant Navy Memorial where the annual open-air service will be held.
A ceremony for the raising of the ‘Red Ensign’ flag in honour of Merchant Navy Day on Monday, 3rd September, 2018. An invitation is extended to all those interested in participating by assembling ‘front of house’ at Bedwellty House, Bedwellty Park, Tredegar, at 1.00 p.m.

The Red Ensign will fly outside Clacton Town Hall on September 3 to mark Merchant Navy Day 2018. LINK
Swansea MNA will be holding their Remembrance Parade and Service on Sunday 2nd September 2018. Parade will form up at 1045 ready to move off at 1100.
