Ushakov Medal presented to relatives of the Arctic Convoys Veteran Thomas McCulloch
On 27 December the Russian Consul General in Edinburgh Mr Andrey A.Pritsepov presented Ushakov Medal to relatives of an Arctic Convoys Veteran Thomas McCulloch, who passed away in 2016.
His brother, sister in law, daughter and grandchildren took part in the meeting. They shared their memories about Thomas McCulloch and veteran’s stories about his service on board of destroyer HMS Marne who took part in the Arctic Convoys. He always remembered courage and heroic deeds of Russian and Scottish sailors fighting shoulder-to-shoulder.
They also received a set of the commemorative gifts commissioned to mark the 75th anniversary of the first Convoy to Archangel codenamed Dervish.
