On the 25th January 1917 tragically sank at Lough Swilly, taking 354 passengers with her.
The story continues as rumours of treasure and bars of gold spread.
The ship was heading from Liverpool to Canada with cargo full of gold to pay for arms.
The ship was struck by two mines left there by German submarines and sank with 354 people and 3,200 gold bars. 121 passengers survived, making it safely to shore.
The Royal Navy organised many dives to retrieve the lost gold but rumours continued that 22 bars are still unaccounted for and could still be found in the sunken ship.
