The Merchant Navy Association, The Merchant Navy Association (Wales), The Merchant Navy Association (Wales) Barry branch and many more both thank Caroline and hold a great respect for her. I am proud to both know and liaise with this special lady regarding the many of the Merchant Navy lost to this world in and out of conflict and with no known grave but the sea. K.

You are invited to an evening of music and commemoration at The British Normandy Memorial.

From 6.30pm (local time) on Monday 6 June 2022, The Band of the Yorkshire Regiment with the Jedburgh Pipers will perform a concert to celebrate the 78th Anniversary of D-Day and the beginning of the liberation of Western Europe.

With a programme of music featuring Sons of the Brave, Band of Brothers, and the always rousing Highland Cathedral, this is an event not to be missed!

There will be a moment of remembrance with a traditional rendition of the Last Post followed by Reveille.

Food and refreshments will be available to purchase before and during the concert.

Please note this is a standing event and general seating WILL NOT be available.
