Kinsale RNLI · Bridget O'Brien wrote this poem as a thanks to all the volunteers of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution who risk their lives every day to save others. Thank you Bridget. Much appreciated.
RNLI.
Everyday people, like you and me. Their lives are filled to capacity. Yet they drop what they're doing in the blink of an eye. The valiant volunteers of the RNLI.
In uncharted waters swimmers race. Certain they can keep the pace. Who will answer their distressed cry. The valiant volunteers of the RNLI.
The fishermen who brave the storm. In efforts to keep their families warm. Who will answer their distressed cry. The valiant volunteers of the RNLI.
Humble people is what they are. They'll search the seas both near and far. To answer any distressed cry. The valiant volunteers of the RNLI.
Sadly volunteers have been lost. They risk their lives at any cost. Never forgotten by you or I. The valiant volunteers of the RNLI.
