Why A City Is Ship Shape
Across a gorge, a bridge suspended,
Beneath a river where tide descended,
So fast that ships were oft times stranded,
So we built our own, of shallow draft,
Strong of keel both fore and aft,
So even if the tide were missed,
Both ship and mud were gently kissed,
So came the saying, fraught with passion,
Ship shape and Bristol Fashion.
