BBC One News 6 & 10pm - Week beginning Monday 31st August Coverage of WWII & the men & women involved. Merchant Navy in World War II on Tuesday 1st September.
As a supplement to BBC1’s two main news reports at 18:00hrs & 22:00hrs, next week, there will be coverage of WWII and the men & women involved, including the Merchant Navy.
They plan to transmit a piece about the Merchant Navy in the main news at 6.00pm and 10.00pm on Tuesday 1st September. This will focus on Milag Nord (the MN camp near Bremen), where newscaster Hugh Edwards’s father was held and hopefully will include an interview with our National Secretary, David Parsons, covering the MN’s contribution to WWII in more general terms.
