We would like to recognise and thank all those within the maritime community who, just as their predecessors did 80 years ago, work immensely hard all year round throughout these difficult times to ensure the world can keep supplied and safe.

Despite a pandemic, the ships are still sailing ⚓ Seafarers are at the front line of global trade, transporting the goods we rely on everyday. This World Maritime Day, we thank the men and women of the sea who've kept our cupboards stocked and brought vital medical supplies. Yet many of them are under greater strain than ever.
