17 October 1940, another around the Irish coast. The Irish ship EDENVALE was attacked 3′ southeast of Helvick Head, County Waterford. Damage was limited to bullet holes in the superstructure and there were no casualties.
Further west, 23′ south of Kinsale Head, County Cork, the Belgian trawler O.86 was bombed and machine gunned. Damage was limited to the trawling gear being lost.
