CRYOLITE
The lines were cast and we were off, To a cold and barren land, Some stops we made in Labrador, And two in Newfoundland.
We made our way to the Greenland coast, To reach the cryolite mines, We found the port of ivigtut, In these most uncertain times.
We filled our holds with cryolite, Set our course for Baltimore. We made our way through ice and snow, Just like before the war.
They were waiting for our passing, On that cruel and deadly sea. But we cleared the U-Boat gauntlet, In the fight for liberty.
So now you know of the trip we made, Up along the Greenland coast. To bring back home the Cryolite, When we needed it the most.
