The Donaldson liner ATHENIA which I understand was originally ordered by Cunard launched on 22nd January 1922 and completed in March 1923.
She was tragically torpedoed on September 3rd 1939 just hours into what was to be World War II becoming the first casualty of the conflict.
Thankfully she took about 14 hours to sink and most were rescued but 112 lost their lives.
