This is an original Arklow song by John & Tommy Breen.
reflects on the loss of the lives of 6 fishermen when their boat ‘Alice’ was broken in two by a steamer (Melissa) near Kilkeel Co. Down. She was returning to Arklow fully loaded. Four of those drowned were Arklow fishermen. The other two fishermen drowned were from Wicklow and Balbriggan (R.I.P)
