VIA: Neutral Shores, Ireland and the Battle of the Atlantic.09 February 1941 was the beginning of a series of air attacks against fishing vessels along Irelands southern coast. 09 February, ERMINE, attacked south of The Old Head of Kinsale, there was no damage or casualties. 10 February, WILLIAM BRUCE and TINA KNUTSEN, attacked south east of Fastnet Rock, both escape undamaged. 11 February, ARACARI, attacked 25' southwest of Fastnet Rock, one crew member was injured and was taken to Kinsale. 11 February, ST. VINCENT, bombed and machine gunned south of Fastnet Rock and sustained slight damage but no causalities were reported.
