“This week The Princess Royal, in her role as President of the Mission to Seafarers, visited a Merchant Ship at Southampton to see how the charity supports those working onboard ships.
The world’s 1.6 million seafarers are responsible for transporting over 90% of the world’s goods and fuels, and often spend large amounts of time away from their family, friends and loved ones. The Mission to Seafarers charity helps these seafarers access welfare and support in over 200 ports worldwide.”
