Western Approaches HQ - The Battle of the Atlantic Experience
In the same week that some of the last veterans of the Arctic Convoys gathered here to remember
the harshest conditions of war, we are deeply saddened to see events unfold in Eastern Europe.
Our thoughts are with the people of Ukraine.

The Senedd has been lit up in the colours of the Ukrainian flag this evening in solidarity with the besieged nation.
Russian forces advanced swiftly through parts of Ukraine on Thursday, the first time such an event has occurred in Europe since the Second World War.
Earlier today, First Minister Mark Drakeford said it is a "deeply sad day for people in Ukraine, and a deeply dangerous day for the whole of the world".
"The whole of the world needs to act in solidarity and to take action to make clear to the leaders of Russia that you cannot act in this way."

Early this week we launched an exhibition on the Arctic Convoys in partnership with organisations in the UK and Russia in a spirit of friendship.
To those new friends in Russia, we still hold out a hand in friendship as we know that you are not responsible for this war.
To the official Russian Government organisations that shared news of our exhibition, you have now instead decided to share propaganda and lies when the world sees the truth.
Know this: The people of Liverpool stand firmly with the people of Ukraine.
