Nominations are now open for the annual Merchant Navy Medal for Meritorious Service, providing an opportunity to recognise British merchant seafarers.
Awarded without bias to those eligible seafarers who are judged to have made a worthwhile contribution to merchant shipping, its operations, development, personnel, welfare, safety, or have performed an act of courage afloat.
The committee, of which The Mission to Seafarers is a member, is spearheaded by the Merchant Navy Welfare Board (MNWB) charity.
