Remembering all those who died in the Falklands War, and All those who returned but were forever changed.
The Falklands War began On This Day in 1982 when Argentina invaded and occupied the British Overseas Territory. 255 members of the British Armed Forces and 3 Falkland Island civilians were killed during the conflict and hundreds more were wounded.
The Falklands Memorial sponsored by the South Atlantic Memorial Association was dedicated in 2012. The main memorial tablet on the wall is flanked by six additional tablets, engraved with the cap badges of the forces deployed to the South Atlantic to liberate the islands.
