Fly the Red Ensign for Merchant Navy Day – 3 September 2022 at 9:30am Mansion House, Richmond Road, Cardiff.
Cardiff Council - Flag Raising Ceremony at the Mansion House, to show support for the merchant seafarers on whom the UK depends.
Representatives from our Veterans organisations, serving Armed Forces personnel and guests will join The Rt. Hon. The Lord Mayor of Cardiff, Councillor Graham Hinchey for this event, which begins at 9:30am for a 10.00am flag raising. The event will last about an hour - with light refreshments being served after the flag-raising ceremony.
Tony Meade will raise the flag and Byron Jones will give a reading of the poem “Merchant Navy Day" by Capt. Joe Earl.
