I was privileged to be invited to a ceremony to raise the Red Ensign, the flag of the Merchant Navy, today to commemorate Merchant Navy Day. I thought of all those men, now gone, who spent most of their lives at sea.
A few photos of those who attended including the Lord Mayor of Cardiff and the High Sheriff of Glamorgan.
