Merchant Navy Day at Trinity Square in London to commemorate those lost 80 years ago in Malta with the pedestal convoy, the Falkland war and all those lost at sea in war and peace.

A privilege to represent our lovely town.



We met Admiral the Rt Hon Baron West of Spithead who has family connections to Barry.

The Royal Navy Volunteer Bands were superb.



We also met Merchant and Royal Navy people from all over the world, so glad we attended and hope we can keep the links going in the next term of office.

Trinity House is a charity dedicated to safeguarding shipping and seafarers, providing education, support and welfare to the seafaring community with a statutory duty as a General Lighthouse Authority to deliver a reliable, efficient and cost-effective aids to navigation service for the benefit and safety of all mariners.

The Corporation of Trinity House was incorporated by Royal Charter in 1514 to regulate pilotage on the River Thames and provide for aged mariners.
