Spent much time at Pangbourne; The Falkland Islands Memorial Chapel at Pangbourne College stands as a permanent and ‘living’ memorial to commemorate the lives and sacrifice of all those who died in the South Atlantic in 1982 and the courage of the thousands of Servicemen and women who served with them to protect the sovereignty of the Falkland Islands. When the thunder of the guns was finally stilled in and around the Falkland Islands on 14th June 1982, 258 families were left to count the terrible cost. They had lost sons, fathers and husbands in the fierce actions fought at sea, on land, and in the air. LINK:
