In order to protect the rights of the Zabbar Sanctuary Museum, We originally did not post the best view of the Tregenna pencil drawing, this was intended then to give an indication only of the artists work and help in our request to find out more. The actual picture is truly beautiful and has also been restored. The detail is amazing, the museum at Zabbar, Malta has since included the picture on it’s website.

From times immemorial gifts by believers, were offered to gods, after their prayers were heard. The offerrings show the gratitude by the person or group of people that were in difficult moments. Ex-Votos as they are known were donated to the Church following possibly the survival of a tempest or ship wreck, a lost loved one surviving etc.
