I am writing regarding a film that Dan Hubbard (The Hobbit, Lord of the Rings, Bourne Ultimatum) is casting. It is called "Maersk Alabama" and is based on the hijacking of the container ship Maersk Alabama on 8th April 2009 by Somali Pirates. It is starring Tom Hanks as Captain Richard Phillips of the Maersk Alabama and Catherine Keener as Andrea Phillips (the captain's wife)

We are looking for real Merchant Mariners to play some of the crew members on the ship in the film. There was a crew of 20 ranging in age from 25 - 60.

The film will shoot in Malta and Morocco between 5th March - 1st June 2012.
