Mission to Seafarers’ Sea Sunday

On Sea Sunday churches around the world come together to remember seafarers and pray for them, their families and those who support them.
As well as raising money to help those who work at sea, the day is celebrated with services, parades and ship blessings.
Sea Sunday 2012 will be held on 8th July, but it can also be celebrated on another convenient date.
Sea Sunday is a day set aside in the Church calendar to remember the brave and dedicated men and women who we rely on to keep our global economy afloat. Through special services, fundraising events, parades and ship blessings, congregations around the world celebrate the vital contribution seafarers make to all our lives, and pray for them, their families and those that support them.
