Herbert Clark died:
on board the SS. San Roberto at: Grangemouth on the 5th July 1941
At rest in Harton cemetery South Shields
Remembered by His Friends and Family

“I have been corresponding with the CWGC for several years now trying to get an Uncle, “ Herbert Clark” recognised, it seems an impossible task, although they did admit that he should qualify. But to date nothing has been done. I suppose that there are hundreds of seamen forgotten, that died during the war and are not recognised by the CWGC”. Ray Buck
This man gave his life 67 years ago, and has been forgotten, Unfortunately Herby & Hilda didn’t have any family to remember him !
“I hope we can put this right as his death was plainly attributed to an original enemy attack”?
