Merchant Navy Day Commemoration Service, London:Sunday, 08 September, 2013 Celebrated annually around the world, Merchant Navy Day (3rd September) remembers the Merchant Seafarers who died in WWI, WWII and in subsequent conflicts up to the current day. A commemoration service will take place in Trinity Gardens, Tower Hill, London on Sunday, 8th September 2013. The parade starts at 12:30 hrs and a service will follow and commence at 13:00 hrs. Red Ensigns flags with written commemorative messages are planted in the ground at Trinity Gardens, creating a ‘sea of remembrance'. If you cannot make it to Tower Hill, you can apply for a flag pack and return your completed ensign in memory of a loved one. We will remember them…
