Battle of the Atlantic: Update to the Tower Hill Memorial Website: Benjidog / Brian has just completed a major upgrade of the Tower Hill Memorial website as his personal contribution to the commemoration of the 70th Anniversary of the Battle of the Atlantic. This involved extracting and processing data for approximately 2,000 entries. In addition to photographs of the panels, the WW2 section of the site now contains tables showing basic information about those shown on the memorial. Once the search engines catch up, it should be possible to search the site by name. As you will all know, the Tower Hill Memorial is to those "with no grave but the sea". It was decided to include in the tables everyone lost in the ships recorded in the CWGC database - e.g. those whose bodies were recovered and those who died after the immediate event. LINK:
